Intentional coaching designed to give you wings.
Our story
I'm Christine Dearmont, founder of Thrivelab Coaching, and I built this practice because I've lived the work of helping people figure out who they are and where they're going.
Before coaching, I founded the Women & Engineering Center at Washington University in St. Louis, where I designed leadership development programs and mentoring networks for students navigating the exact transitions I now coach through. I've seen firsthand what happens when someone gets the right support at the right moment and what's lost when they don't.
My practice blends two research-backed frameworks: Energy Leadership™ (how you show up, and why) and CliftonStrengths® (what you're naturally wired to do best). Together, they help you stop pushing against yourself and start moving with intention.
My background spans industry and academia- from a Fortune 500 energy company to the Olin School of Business at WashU, one of the country's top business programs- and includes an MBA from the University of Missouri, Columbia. I bring that real-world perspective into every coaching session.
Creds & training: ICF Certified • Gallup-Certified • iPEC (Energy Leadership™) Master Practitioner • Program design & leadership development (WashU).
Values: Family, connection, health, and intention.
Fun note: I’m energized by turning “stuck” into strategy and confidence.
Research-based Methods
Why These Tools?
Not all coaching is created equal. The methods behind Thrivelab are grounded in decades of research, not intuition alone.
Energy Leadership™ Index (iPEC) Developed by iPEC (the Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching) after 25 years of research into human potential, the Energy Leadership™ Index is a proprietary attitudinal assessment- not a personality test. Rather than simply categorizing who you are, the ELI captures how you currently perceive and approach work and life, and where your energy goes under stress. Research shows that higher average energy resonance levels are associated with higher levels of life satisfaction. The ELI can be taken at the start and end of a coaching relationship to show measurable progress, giving you a tangible return on your investment.
ICF Credentialing The International Coaching Federation is the world's largest and most respected coaching credentialing body, serving over 50,000 credentialed coaches in more than 140 countries. According to the 2022 ICF Global Consumer Awareness Study, 85% of clients value coaches with credentials, and clients whose coaches held a credential reported being 28% more satisfied with their coaching experience. Christine is an ICF member pursuing her PCC credential, a rigorous process requiring accredited training, supervised coaching hours, and demonstrated mastery of the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics.
Gallup CliftonStrengths® The CliftonStrengths assessment is one of the most widely used strengths-based tools in the world, with nearly 30 million people having used it to better understand themselves and their talents. Individuals coached on their strengths are six times as likely to be engaged in their jobs, and three times as likely to report having an excellent quality of life. As a Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach, Christine is trained to help you go beyond your assessment results, turning self-awareness into strategy.
“Christine’s approach to coaching is so individualized that it feels completely natural. She helped me to build confidence in my talents and understand how to align my energy to be effective. Nine months later, I moved across the country to pursue the career of my dreams.”
